SkyTraq Launches L1/L5 Sub-Meter Accuracy GNSS Receiver

Hsinchu, Taiwan, June 12, 2024 — SkyTraq Technology Inc., a leading provider of GNSS positioning solutions, launches PX1105S, a state-of-the-art GNSS receiver module offering dual-frequency L1/L5 signal reception. This multi-constellation GNSS receiver delivers sub-meter positioning accuracy, making it ideal for applications requiring enhanced precision over traditional GNSS receivers.

The PX1105S leverages both L1 and L5 signals to formulate ionosphere-free pseudorange in real-time, significantly improving position calculation accuracy compared to single-frequency GNSS receivers reliant on SBAS, which experience correction data latency. By using 10MHz L5 signal, the PX1105S offers improved performance in multipath environments.

Measuring 10.1mm x 9.7mm, the PX1105S shares a popular form factor, allowing same form factor single frequency GNSS receiver users to seamless upgrade to dual-frequency technology. Existing users can easily transition to sub-meter accuracy by simply replacing their current module with PX1105S and using an L1/L5 active antenna.

Engineering samples, evaluation kits, and technical datasheets for the PX1105S are available now, with volume production to begin in July 2024.
