PRESSHsinchu, Taiwan, October 29, 2007 — SkyTraq Technology Inc, a fabless AGPS chipset
company, today introduced next generation Venus 6 chip which features -159dBm sensitivity,
low current consumption of ~10mA, and industry-leading time-to-first-fix (TTFF). The Venus 6 Using separate high-performance search engine and track engine architecture, the Venus 6 is
capable of acquiring and tracking 65 satellites simultaneously, achieving fastest signal
acquisition and TTFF in the industry. It achieves cold-start TTFF of less than 35 seconds and Having -159dBm tracking and -155dBm reacquisition sensitivity, the Venus 6 allows
continuous navigation in nearly all environments, even under harsh urban canyon and highly
attenuated dense foliage. The Venus 6 integrates high performance GPS signal-processing engine, low-power 32-bit
RISC core, cache memory, real-time clock, backup RAM, GPIO / UART / SPI interface, all the
necessary program ROM and data RAM on-chip for direct PVT solution output in stand-alone
GPS applications. The chip can also be configured to operate in a hosted-mode where the
